Yellow Of Lagos

Its been raining cats and dogs in Lagos lately at the same time the heat has been unbearable, I can never understand the bipolar weather we deal with here. Attended the day 1 of GTBank #eatdrinkfestival, the turnout was amazing, safe to say Lagos people love to eat, the crowd was a bit overwhelming and did I mention the heat that day was something else.

 

My post today is about an outfit we call a #Bubu , definitely out of my comfort zone with this one but still on the mission of taking style risks so here we are, the color caught my attention first when i saw it at the 'Voguish' store and I knew I had to have it before I could look at the total outfit and figured whether it was something I would wear or not.

 

Its made from soft yellow crepe fabric and has cutout floral appliques attached to the top, I initially thought the outfit was totally free but when I put it on, I realized it had like a shape fitting trimming which gives it a more defined look.

 

I usually don’t wear full length outfits because I feel I get lost in them considering my size, if you know me you would know i live for my midi lengths, but here I am, guess it was easier cause it wasn’t body fitting.

 

This outfit is definitely ideal for a nice chilled day out with friends, or when you just feel like looking so bright and bringing sunshine into someone’s life lol. Wore my new favorite go to mules, yes its mine so I can wear every time lol, you guys are going to get tired of seeing them.
